This Privacy Policy does not pertain to how Greenlamp's clients use or collect an Internet end-user's data with regards to the display of advertising on other websites; the use and collection of such data remains governed by the privacy policies of those websites. This Privacy Policy does not pertain to any data collected from our vendors, partners, suppliers, employees or contractors. Our website may contain links to third party sites. Greenlamp is not responsible for the privacy policies, data collection or practices of such websites owned by third-parties.

Personally Identifiable Information

Greenlamp stores the information you manually enter via our website (including our contact form). In addition, information provided to us in using our advertising tools will be used to set up accounts, process transactions that you have requested, and debugging any technical issues (such as operating system, browser or other platform issues).
This information will not be sold to third parties for marketing purposes.

We take the security and privacy of your PII very seriously. As such, we follow generally accepted standards to guard the information you provide to us. Please note that no method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing such information on computers is completely secure. Therefore we cannot guarantee fail-proof security.

Upon visiting our website, we collect non-personally identifiable information that is commonly transmitted and collected by websites. This data includes your technical platform used to request the website (such as your operating system, device, web browser), your IP address, and other information deciphered from your user agent. When provided Non-PII information, Greenlamp reserves the right to share such data with vendors, third parties, suppliers or clients.

Greenlamp may set a cookie in your web browser for the purpose of knowing you've visited our website before. We also use cookies as part of collecting Non-personally Identifiable analytics information. We do not use cookies to collect or store PII. The third party partners or vendors we work with may also employ cookies. They may also use web beacons (small gifs), scripts and images to better manage and collect content on our site. Such information is not used to tie or gather PII.
ScottGPT in ChatGPT
This section supplements our Privacy Policy and applies when you use Greenlamp’s ScottGPT plugin in ChatGPT. If another provision of this Privacy Policy conflicts with this section regarding the ScottGPT plugin, this section applies.
Information we receive
When you ask ChatGPT to use ScottGPT, ChatGPT sends our service your question and any conversation context included in the tool request. This may include relevant earlier messages and personal information you include in them.
ScottGPT does not require a separate account and does not request your OpenAI password, payment information, or ChatGPT account profile. Installing the plugin does not give us access to your entire ChatGPT conversation history.
How we process information
We send your question and relevant context to the ScottGPT service and OpenAI’s API to generate an answer using Scott Scheper’s writing and teaching. We use Railway for application hosting and database infrastructure. These providers process information as needed to supply their services.
Stored records and human review
ScottGPT may store your question, its generated answer, the time of the request, the model used, and token-usage information. Authorized personnel may review these records to understand questions users ask, assess answer quality, troubleshoot problems, and manage service usage. Our hosting providers may also process technical request information and operational logs.
Retention and deletion
We retain ScottGPT question-and-answer records for up to 12 months from the date of the interaction. After that period, we delete those records from our systems, including backup copies. We may retain specific records longer when required by law.
We may retain aggregate statistics that do not identify individuals or contain the underlying conversation text for longer periods.
Information processed independently by OpenAI through your use of ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI’s applicable policies and your account settings. Deleting a conversation in ChatGPT does not automatically delete records already received by ScottGPT.
Your choices and requests
You can stop sending information to ScottGPT by no longer invoking the plugin or by removing it from ChatGPT.
To request access to or deletion of personal information in ScottGPT records before the retention period ends, contact [email protected]. Because the plugin does not require a separate account, we may need details such as the approximate request date and an excerpt of your question to locate the relevant records and verify your request. Please do not send passwords or other sensitive information when making a request.
Information you should avoid sharing
Do not submit passwords, API keys, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or sensitive information that is unnecessary for your question. Only provide information you have permission to share.
OpenAI’s services
Your use of ChatGPT is separately governed by OpenAI’s applicable terms, privacy policy, and account settings. This section describes Greenlamp’s handling of information received through ScottGPT.
Disclosure of Information
As required by law, Greenlamp reserves the right to disclose any type of information for the sake of investigation or other prohibited activities.
In the case of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or other sale of the entity, it may disclose information to the acquirer, merger entity or successor. In such an event, you will be notified via email if you've provided applicable PII.
Interest-Based Advertising
Greenlamp's clients may use Greenlamp's platforms to target advertisements to Internet end-users based on interest data. Such collection and use of interest data is governed by each client's own privacy policies. Greenlamp requires its clients to implement reasonable privacy practices in compliance with applicable laws. Furthermore, it requires its clients to follow industry best practices regarding the collection and use of interest-based data in advertising.

Greenlamp is committed to transparency and choice. As such, it endorses tools to manage and view information collected on them.

Our technology and services are not to be used, nor are they intended for use, for persons under the age of 13 years. Greenlamp does not knowingly solicit any PII from persons under the age of 13 years, nor do we knowingly market our technology or services to those in such group. In the case of such collection, we will delete the data from our system.
